Corner of 20th Street and 5th Avenue, Huntington, WV

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Marshall University Sustainability Department’s Eco Cycle Bike Loan Program, Huntington Cycle & Sport, A Simple Six blog, and MU Recreation Center are excited to announce the first of many, FREE bicycle education opportunities within the Marshall & Huntington communities.

We hope you can join us and share the bike love for our first Bike 101 workshop. Led by certified bike mechanic and owner of Huntington Cycle & Sport, Tom Peck. The session will begin with identifying bike parts, cover basic adjustments and repairs, walk everyone through a pre-ride safety check, assist in properly fitting your bicycle, and discussing local cycling laws and hand signals.

This workshop is an opportunity to become more familiar with your own bicycle, so BYOBike if you can. A bike is not required to attend. You can look, listen and learn or participate with MU's Eco Cycle loaner bikes.

Please RSVP so we can be prepared to offer you an engaging evening, and keep you up to date on any changes to the event. Share this invitation with your neighbors, organizations, friends, and roommates. Thank you.
