Recreation Healthy Herd Youth Camps will be
hiring approximately 4 Herd Organizers to
directly oversee the camps. Our Herd Organizers
are very important because they are responsible
for the day to day management and
administration of the camp. The Herd Organizers
will ensure that campers are properly checked
in and out each day, oversee the Herd Leaders,
handle minor disciplinary issues of campers and
Herd Leaders, and control the stability of the
camp schedule. Herd Organizers will also be the
lead contact with parents during the camps
season. This is an excellent opportunity to
build your management, decision- making,
teamwork and communication skills while working
in an environment with managers and peers while
serving parents and children. We promise a

Camps!
Herd Organizers will work
approximately 30 hours per week. The position
runs from Monday, June 6 to Friday, August 5,
2011. Herd Organizers must attend a mandatory
orientation meeting on Monday, May 23 from 2pm
– 5pm in the Recreation Center and mandatory
training on Monday and Tuesday, June 6 -7, 2010
from 10am – 5pm. All staff mandatory training
will take place on Wednesday, June 8 to Friday,
June 10, 2010 from 10am – 4pm. The schedules
will fluctuate, but the Herd Organizers must be
available to work either mornings or afternoons
Monday through Friday from 7am – 6pm. Shifts
will likely run from 7:00am – 1:00pm and
12:30pm – 6:30pm. Times are approximate. Herd
Organizers must also run weekly staff meetings.
Camps begin on Monday, June 13,
2011.
