The Marshall Recreation Center is located on the Marshall University Campus at the corner of 5th Avenue and 20th Street, directly west of the Joan C. Edwards Stadium. The Marshall Recreation Center is 123,000 square foot facility with a gymnasium consisting of four multi-purpose courts, a 100,000 recreational pool and 20 person spa, four group exercise studios, a 3 lane 1/7th of a mile track, 17,000 square feet of fitness space, a 45 foot climbing wall and outdoor pursuits center, massage area, fitness assessment room, juice bar, and two lounge areas. During camp season, the Marshall Recreation Center will be open from 6am – 8:30pm Monday – Friday.

Registration Fees

Payments are required on or before the due date to retain a position for a given session. Registration for each week is due the Wednesday prior to the start of that camp. Payment must be received at the Marshall Recreation Center by 5:00 PM on payment deadline day. If you have any questions regarding registration fees, please call the camp office at 304-696-4101.

Registration Options

The Healthy Herd™ Youth Camp offers programming on a weekly basis. Registration for each week is due the Wednesday prior to the start of that camp. The weekly sessions will run Monday through Friday from 9am – 4pm. The Health Herd™ Youth Camp provides Before Care (7:30 AM – 9:00 AM) and After Care (4:00 PM – 5:30 PM) for an additional fee for campers who are enrolled in the weekly camp session.

Parents that would like to register children for the Healthy Herd™ Youth Camp may do so at the Marshall Recreation Center, online, by mail or by phone. Payments by check, cash, Visa or MasterCard are accepted. Please register early, as a limited number of camp registrations will be available each week.
